On the other hand, I think Rob Halford could indeed crack the top 10.

Halford during his primer was also more incredible than most of the top 10.

You want to see videos of every time Daltrey and Gillan have sounded bad over the last 5 years?

Get Elton into the top 20! In his prime live singing years (late 1979-mid 1986), the guy was EXTREMELY consistent on long tours (often doing 5 or more shows IN A ROW), and easily parred or bettered his studio vocals live! Even today (with the loss of the falsetto and the deeper voice), he's still sounding consistent on tours! His live pitch is excellent, and never delivered a song in the same way (he always changes vocal phrasings around, and "plays" with the songs) from show to show!

Not sure how he'll stack against the list, but I see him as top 20!

Michael Bolton easily gets into top 10, beating most of the names there with ease.

Does he really have enough improv or reputation?

His improvs are fucking magnificent, he is also very renowned for his live singing. I have yet to hear a single bad live performance by him.

5:58 onwards is one of his best improvs (though still not his best)... He often did this improvs during this song (and "Soul Provider").

Since "longevity" is one of the criteria, I thought I would throw in this new song that is scheduled to be on the next Heart album this fall. Ann is 61 btw.

As long as Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Michael Bolton, and Graham Bonnet are in the top 20, it's all good!
