Sorry. Where do you think they should be on the list? That's what I meant.

It's really impossible to say without criteria. Otherwise it's all just an arbitrary list of favourites and whatnot.

I've always thought performances tend to be more subjective than albums or artists, since it's especially hard to trace the influence of a single track, except in extremely rare circumstances. Yes, it's arbitrary, but I'm trying to make it a reasonable and well-thought-out list.

Also what do you guys think about moving "Six Wives of Henry VIII" to #1 or #2? It's Wakeman in his purest form and easily his best work.

I could see that.

not sure if I previously said this or not, but me thinks Aladdin Sane could find a place on the piano list?

We haven't even started that yet. If this board was more active I'd do it.

Also what do you guys think about my Billy Preston additions?

That's a killer ^. Damn I love Kooper.

Just popping in to say that Manzarek's piano solo on The Crystal Ship is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.

Also, Lazy should definitely be Jon Lord's highest, imo.
That intro...Jon is the 'Jimi Hendrix' of the organ!

I agree! I don't understand where beaver's distaste for it comes from... Definitely beats Highway Star.

First of all sorry for my recent absence. I've been busy as hell.

Second of all, I love it. I taught myself the intro and the solo on piano. The reason I put Highway Star above it is because it was the first true major "speed" keyboard performance.

The first? I find that very hard to believe. It's a helluva performance obviously, I just think Lazy is a better display of Jon's talent.

I think a great addition to this list would be "Gershatzer" by Atomic Rooster.
Fucking mental organ and piano work in that song by Vincent Crane!
