All three (Cochran, Holly, Valens) were elevated much above where they should have been because of the early deaths, although Cochran a little less because he died overseas and it wasn't as big of a story. Half the songs on Tommy are not even good. Why listen to all of them when you could pick out the real good ones and listen to them without having to hear the rest of them.

And Quadrophenia doesn't even have one real good song IMO.
