You cant decry Zappa's influence purely because 'The Four Tops' or Elvis werent influenced by him. If you were to extrapolate that statement, then who on the list did U2 influence or Radiohead, Madonna etc. |

Clash, I'm selling an issue of Record World that has a full page color ad for "Who's Next" as a new release, and a review of the album. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200757094607?ss ... 1558.l2649 Here's the review: The Who are hotter than ever now--if that's possible. What with their million dollar tour underway, this album of rock and roll goodies should prove a super-potent collection. Decca DL 79182 I've been getting like $38 each for these issues lately. I have another one that has a review of VU's "Loaded" album, That will probably go for more $$$ http://www.ebay.com/itm/190676690101?ss ... 1558.l2649 |

Yeah, my Who obsession hasn't progressed to the point where I buy magazines for a full-page ad. Thanks for the heads-up, though. |

People collect these things because they are a part of history. A contemporary ad for a new release that became a classic. It's like a lobby card for "Casablanca" or "Goodfellas." |
