Influence is a tie or Lennon.

Musical Impact: Lennon.

Cultural impact. Lennon by far.

If that is right I say that Lennon and Clapton should be a lot closer.

I edited my post; now there are 4 separate groupings.

EDIT: Honestly, I could make a good case for combining tiers 2 and 3. I don't think there's much space between those artists. I'm doing that.

IMO Paul McCartney should be in the top 100 (he ties Rod Stewart, for example).

McCartney played yesterday here in Mexico City in front of 200,000 people:
