T-C would probably argue that "Get Lucky" should be the lowest because it's the only one not parodied on the new Weird Al album.

Okay, we're putting "Get Lucky" at #468 and dropping "Genius of Love." It's been sent in to Lew.

The rhythm reminds me of "Stayin' Alive."

I can't believe y'all ousted "All Day and All of the Night". That just seems like one of their definitive (and most popular) songs.

Other than in the USA "Waterloo Sunset" is an all time classic. It's #31 of all time on the Acclaimed Music list and #42 of all time on the RS top 500.

"All Day" is not on the RS list at all and is #1564 on the AM list.

"All Day" is a much more popular record in the USA, but anywhere else "WS" has it beat in popularity also.

As for influence, "All Day" did not break any new ground that "You Really Got Me" hadn't already done. So even though "All Day" is my personal favorite by the Kinks, I think "WS" has more going for it according to our criteria here. We felt like 3 Kinks records were enough so we swapped one for the other (although not in the same slot on the list).

The ends of those countdowns take forever. 8 of the top 25 are 8 minutes long (give or take a second of "Stairway") or longer.

Not only that, they were playing these interview features, like 3 or 4 of them, in between every couple of songs. Acts talking about how a certain song or album came about, stuff like that.

This may seem ironic, but it might actually be better to misspell band names like Eagles as The Eagles, even though that's not their real name, because then it will show up in searches for people who think they are The Eagles. And Take It Easy is a bad song.

It isn't as though the word "the" isn't on the page.

I think you misunderstand. The definite article "The" is missing in front of "Eagles".

Or are you referring to the site page for this and not the forum page?

I mean, either way, the word "the" appears elsewhere on the list. Therefore, whether someone includes the in their search is pretty irrelevant. I guess it could be a problem when people search for "The Eagles" in quotes, but few people do that, especially since autocomplete wil ignore the quotes.

This is actually incorrect. The complete band name is "Eagles". They've barely released anything as "The Eagles". All major music sites have them as "Eagles".
