I don't think we need any of those.

Yeah, just people suggesting favorites with no regard to the criteria.

Which version of "Spoonful" are you talking about? My favorite version goes for 21 minutes.
Also, I think you could consider some live performances of "Dazed and Confused" too.

Have you read the criteria of the list?

Songs must be 10 minutes or longer. This means on their original release either on an album, EP or a single - remixes do not count. Songs were chosen and ranked based on initial and lasting popularity, acclaim and influence. Live versions of songs that were less than 10 minutes when done first in the studio were only included if they became significant in their own right. Songs that reached 10 minutes only because of an extended jam at the end will receive less credit than songs that legitimately exceeded 10 minutes without an extended jam. Also, songs that were edited down and also issued in a shorter version will lose some credit.

And why doesn't the Dazed and Confusion version from How the West Was Won qualify? Hell, I'd say even the version from BBC sessions could be on the list, although assuming we can only add one I'd say the How the West Was Won version is far more important.

I'd say that no live Zeppelin track is anywhere near as significant as the studio track of the same song. Certainly not significant enough to get on to this list.

Ditto. What would make a Led Zep live recording, first released in 2004, important?

The answer to the 1st question is that the listed version is the Wheels of Fire version. I found a 21+ minute version on Youtube, recorded in Detroit in 1967. The title says that it's rare. If it's rare, it might be very enjoyable, but it isn't very significant.

Are either of these worthwhile?

Queensryche - Suite Sister Mary (10 minutees, 41 seconds)
Wildhearts - Sky Babies (11 minutes 24 seconds)

It would be more likely to have a Dream Theater song, or perhaps one of the Helloween epics before Queensryche.

Yeah, I thought about it and it probably shouldn't be here. I was thinking about the critical acclaim. It's most important song of what is probably the the single most important live Zep album.

I'd have Born Slippy (Nuxx) on here.
According to Wikipedia the original release was 11:46

Yeah, that was an oversight. Should be in the top 20.

Okay, let's put it on. Where should it go, and what should we remove?

Considering it's top 150 on AM and has at least some popularity I'd say somewhere in the top 15, possibly even the top 10.

Okay, let's see what my partner on the list has to say. I emailed him to check this thread and weigh in.

Your partner suggests no higher than #14, no lower than #19.
