I feel like I've said this before, but I think "No Big Deal" is way too high. I think it just was a minor pop hit because it was the follow-up to "So Alive", but it didn't really have any legs. I'd move it down to maybe 7 or 8.

No "Louisiana 1927"? That's become pretty iconic, particularly post-Katrina.

Overall, though, really good work on these lists over the past few days.

I was looking at a couple of lists for major artists, and I think they've got serious problems.

Bob Marley:

1. No Woman No Cry
2. Redemption Song
3. Get Up Stand Up
4. Stir it Up
5. Jammin'
6. Satisfy My Soul
7. I Shot the Sheriff
8. Is This Love
9. Exodus
10. Could You Be Loved

Um...where the heck is "One Love"? It's number 372 on Greatest Rock Songs, and it doesn't make Marley's own top ten? Feh. (BTW, I don't think I noticed before that "Get Up Stand Up" is #420 on that list. I see what we did there.) Obviously Marley has a lot of classics, but I think this is better as well as in line with the Rock Songs list:

The extra numbers are their Greatest Rock Songs positions. I want to switch 3 and 4 to match the lists, but it's a close call. It's the rest of the list that gets me. If you're going to include one song from the 80s, why on Earth would it be "Jump To It", which only hit #24 and doesn't get much radio play, over "Freeway Of Love" (her big comeback song) or "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)" (a number one hit)? Anyway, I think this would be better:

Without looking closely at every position of Brett's Aretha list, I do think that it's an improvement over the current one. I consider "Until You Come Back to Me" her most enduring '70s song, agree that "Freeway of Love" is greater than "Jump To It", and don't see "Call Me" as deserving a spot in the top 10.

I'd say the song that could be removed for it would be "Exodus", but that was his biggest American R&B hit. Possibly the posthumous hit "Buffalo Soldier" instead?

Good list, I was thinking about putting Lady Writer in instead of Industrial Disease, but the latter seems more popular, especially in the US... But I think Lady Writer is the better song. But I'd put Lady Writer at the end of the list then, and Telegraph Road at #9.
