I think I'd prefer seeing Crystal Logic there. I'm fine with Metal Health though.

I'd also prefer CL, but MH can be more deserving.

Yes, master:

1. Enslaved - Below the Lights
2. Sleep - Dopesmoker
3. Boris - Boris At Last -Feedbacker-
4. Slough Feg - Traveller
5. Drudkh - Forgotten Legends
6. Lost Horizon - A Flame to the Ground Beneath
7. Boris - Akuma No Uta
8. Devin Townsend - Accelerated Evolution
9. Moonsorrow - Kivenkantaja
10. Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye

Does Viva Emptiness count? Such a shitty year not only for Metal but music overall. None of these entries are list worthy but then again I also really can't think of any better additions. Maybe The Puppet Master or The Work Which Transforms God... I really don't know.

Wasn't the best year, but still many possible bottom half albums:

Anthems of Rebellion
The Blessed Hellride
Hate Crew Deathroll
Death Cult Armageddon
Helvete

...St. Anger?

Death Cult = no
Dopesmoker = #1
Anthems= well it kind of was their breakthrough. We Will Rise is death metal Jock Jams.
St. Anger = FUCK NO

I only like two of those albums. What a crappy year.

Kamelot's Epica and Sonata Arctica's Winterheart's Guild may be worthy, but Shuure or Sherick would probably know better than me.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Sumerian Demons or Sphynx, but I don't think they're listworthy anyway.

Blut Aus Nord's The Work Which Transforms God should probably be here though.

There's also Amon Amarth's Versus the World

Actually, looking at the list of albums released in 2003, there are a more to choose from than there were for the last 5 years or so.

Versus the World is a 2002 album. I agree that Epica should be here, and I considered Sumerian Daemons and The Work Which Transforms God. I think the latter is more belonging. Don't think Sphynx is necessary.
