Absolutely not.

And Nes, I don't do these to his whim. For instance, he came up with one song, and I thought it would be better to add another based on the criteria.

Just because they were "put together by many people originally" doesn't make them correct by default.

Question, since I recently discovered Cold Ascending was Neurosis' first "single" (also re: music video), anyone else think it should go on their list?

As far as Enemy of the Sun songs go, I think Lost just about covers it

I do dig "I'm Alive", and not that it matters for the list, but probably has the best Helloween solo too.

Is that just for I'm Alive having the best solo? (I agree if that's the case).

I was talking about the solo, but....I don't see how being the first song on Keeper 1 makes it immediately spot worthy.

Because it was the first time people heard Michael Kiske sing?

Invaders should be on the Maiden list then. And the first song off Rocka Rolla.

Actually now that I look it up, Future World was released as the first single for Keeper 1. So technically that's what they heard first and that should be on the list.

Maiden and Priest have strong and deep enough catalogues where they don't quite have to worry about that (although Maiden fans did hear Run To The Hills first, being the first single from Number, and that's on the list). Whereas with something like, Candlemass, most only care about Epicus and the Marcolin albums, and what was the first song they heard him sing on? Well of Souls, which is why it's #2 now and was #1 for a while.

Why does being the first by default make it important? That's just silly. And saying that Helloween's catalogue isn't deep enough to fill a top 10 without resorting to such rationale is even more silly, and if you think that then you shouldn't be calling any shots when it comes to Helloween.
