Are these charts not based on popularity, influence, and impact? The criteria on the main site is listed as: Criteria: - These songs are ranked based on their initial and lasting popularity, as well as influence & impact on rock 'n' roll [read:metal]. (Note: These are "Best Of", not "Greatest Hits". Although often the same.) |

Criteria: impact, influence, popularity and less important - musical quality/composition and lyrical quality, within the world of metal. That was taken from the top 100 metal songs thread |

Yea, no Demon's Gate is bullshit. It should be in a top 10 before Crystal Ball (at least in terms of that album). |
