nah the template for post grunge was already set in stone when pearl jam released ten. i don't think people realise what a 'dangerous' album ten was. so emotionally charged and dramatic, any imitators would basically be walking on a plank with that kind of aesthetic. and while ten was good, everything it spawned in its wake was an utter shitfest.

So it's like the Led Zeppelin of albums?

Led Zeppelin influenced some incredible music, STFU.

A good series of words or other sounds have never come out of Ted Nugent's mouth.

Whenever I feel about liking "Stranglehold" it bothers me so much that I just can't.

Dismissing Zeppelin's influence because of who is listed in their allmusic page is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Zeppelin have influenced some of my favorite bands. Monga probably hates them all, but he can fuck off. He like The Pogues for fuck's sake.

You'd have to name them to know whether I hate them. But going off that list Appetite for Destruction is a classic album, Queen was a perfectly good band (if wildly overrated here), and "Here I Go Again" may be cheesy but it's thoroughly enjoyable.

Of that list I also like Rainbow and Schenker (for his work with UFO).

To that list I would also add Jane's Addiction, Rush, Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Thin Lizzy, AC/DC. Yeah I'm a big fan of classic rock, sue me.

And yes, having similar taste in music to many people's dad's is why I don't talk about my musical interests too often.
