Within Temptation - Pearls of Light vs. Keith Jarrett - The Köln Concert, Part II I'm not sure I disliked Pearls of Light as much as most others seem to. It's not something I would seek out and listen to repeatedly, but its not offensive to me if I hear it. Keith Jarrett, by contrast, is amazing. David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes vs. Omar- S- Set it Out Sorry, wanta. I didn't see the appeal in Set It Out. The vocals were obnoxious, like a really bad Michael Jackson impression, and the beat itself was kind of stale and monotonous. Not a very big Bowie fan in general and this isn't even one of his better songs, but it definitely wins. |

Within Temptation - Pearls of Light vs. Keith Jarrett - The Köln Concert, Part II Meh, didn't like either. Both are style > substance but in different yet equally boring ways. Throwing my vote to WT because it's listed first. David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes vs. Omar- S- Set it Out Can I just vote for both of these songs and not throw a vote in for the first match up? But damn, "Set It Out" is just great. Sounds so much fresher than the Bowie track too. Those synths warm your heart, the percussion makes you wanna dance, and those vocals get your dick hard. |

Is this classical or jazz? 58. David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes vs. Omar- S- Set it Out This is one of my favorite David Bowie tracks. I really love his breathy vocals. "I've never done good things. I've never done bad things. I've never done anything out of the blue." The Omar song has a interesting feeling that is rather difficult to describe. It almost feels like it is pumping from a ghetto blaster lodged in the ether. It feels a bit eerie and disconnected. |

Sorry to whoever nominated this, but that's just how I feel! 58. David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes vs. Omar- S- Set it Out Not really one of Bowie's better songs. Surprised to see it's on his greatest hits compilation. I didn't love the Omar S song. I like the sample a lot ("My Boo" by Ghost Town DJs) but feel it was put to use better on Ciara's "Body Party." It gets a vote this round but maybe not next. Who knoze. |
