Jesus, in this thread on the old site I posted a list of 20 something different styles with examples. It was there for public viewing. You want to see it, you can trawl through that old thread. I have better things to do then repeat that all over again.

Any good examples of John farnham using falsetto?

He doesn't really use falsetto much and doesn't really need to because his head voice is so reliable. When he does it's usually just a little sort of mini scream and it's pretty raspy - it's his only little weak spot really. He used it a little more early in his career when it was maybe a bit smoother, eg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRx_NKqmJHU. But I don't know of any songs where he sings even for any significant percentage in falsetto. That said, there might be some...I've heard very, very little of his early stuff.

Btw Curio...here's a site with a list of almost every song Farnham has ever recorded and released http://www.bluedesert.dk/johnfarnham.html ... there are enough song names you'll recognise, which will give you an idea of how many styles he's sung. Or you can trawl through the old thread. In the end, I don't care...but if Bonnet has sung all of pop, rock, blues, jazz, classical, theatre and folk than maybe he's in with a shot...of getting a tie.

And lefty...I think your breakdown of Merc/T Buck was pretty good, but I think Mercury gets projection. Maybe Tim has better projection above say D5 or something, but in the end, that accounts for what, about .01% of either of their singing, so why should that count more than the fact that Mercury's voice was better projected in 99% of their respective range? Anyway, overall they're neck and neck by the criteria so could legitimately go either way.
