there's no way Freddie takes switching most certainly, I dont think I've ever heard switching like Tim does...its beyond insane..... also, projection is Buckley's too..... sure Freddie had the midrange belts - but Tim's 5th octave belts > Freddie's 4th octave ones , he just soars up there so effortlessly and hits you like a ton of bricks.... |

You can't compare it like that... Any 5th octave note is always more projected than a 4th octave note unless it's the very top of your range when you thin out... Also, switching is a tie at least for Tim...look at the new formend switching list here!

yes in each register, but the sheer physics of having a larger resonating cavity in chest voice than in head voice, plus my entire experience with being a vocalist in a lot of different forms says otherwise.... |

Wait, you are saying that you practically have a bigger, more resonant voice in chest, just like I knew... It seems I don't understand projection completely..I always thought it's about pushing your voice with greater intesity so naturally the better projected voice are louder than worse projected ones... |

well, thats kind of an oxymoron.... If you're pushing, its not really natural... Thats projection... You know like when you blow across the top of a bottle to make a note, and you gotta get the angle right so it resonates loud enough to be worth doing? Well, essentially you're doing the same thing so its pretty much just technique to use whichever resonating cavity you're using to it's full potential.. your chest cavities amount to a lot more than your facial ones so naturally your chest voice is a lot more resonant and booming. Head voices are almost always more projection, except Freddie LOL. |

So, if you guys now think Tim should get resonance and switching then he would win, because it was tied before any changes could be made. I'll wait for others to chime in on those criterion because I couldn't really attest to these claims for lack of having heard much T. Buck. |
