Paul McCartney vs. Jørn Lande

[b]Breath support - Lande (Much cleaner notes from a baritone)
Consistency - Tie
Diction - Tie (I could go either way on this)
Endurance - Macca (He is 68-years old and still going strong!)

Blending - [b]Lande
(You forgot this one! )
Switching - Tie (Lande has a lot of great switching stuff, Macca ain't bad either, "Hey Jude" has awesome switching!)
Pitch - Tie (Could go either way?)
Runs - Macca
Vibrato - Lande
Volume Control - Tie

Projection - Lande
Resonance - Lande
Use of Range - Macca
Sustain - Tie

Tonal Versatility - Tie/Lande (Macca has awesome style to switch between soft voice and his powerful rock voice, Lande is a great imitator of Coverdale, for example)
Technical versatility - Tie (Both of them have featured some great singing techniques and high/low singing)
Stylistic versatility - Tie (Could go either way)
Phrasing - Tie (Not sure about this, really subjective...)

Really close... :freak: This was hard to do so feel free to say if you disagree with some of those because I feel that not all of those are right...

I dunno, since Gillen was a contemporary of so many other great singers, I can't help hearing the Plant influence loud and proud.

I just discovered that Eternal Idol will be re-released with a second disc containing Gillen's original vocal tracks. I've heard bootlegs of these recordings, and it's not without reason that so many people talk about wishing Gillen had joined Sabbath officially. Methinks his singing was more charismatic than Tony Martin's.

He sounds a lot like Dio... my favourite performance is Kill In The Spirit World.

There's a lot of Dio in his voice, yes. It's not as powerful, bit thinner and breathier, in lack of a better description.

My faves from the Martin era:

What exactly in the 25-30 range has been changed and to what position should those two be raised?

28. Graham Bonnet
29. Ronnie James Dio
30. Bruce Dickinson
31. Brad Delp...

Lione above Daltrey for now and Lande above McCartney.
