I don't know if he's good enough, but damn, has anyone ever heard Geechee Dan, a homeless guy who sings near the NYC subway? He's insanely underrated and sings a mean Otis Redding.

Tim Buckley at #3 seems too high. He was definitely capable of some vocal gymnastics, but most everything I've heard from the guy was less than tasteful (granted, that's subjective) and actually often pitchy.

I like how every so often, everyone seems to forget all the breakdowns.

Does anyone think projection is a redundant immesurable criterion now?

Because it would be a bit unfair not to reward singer like Cornell, Plant, Bonnet, Mercury over guys like Jeff Buckley, Perry, Stevie Wonder who all have awesome but not so powerful voices. Whenever it's too close, we'll tie it...

:what?:

Wonder has incredible power, his blended belts are really good and very well projected....even Buckley has good projection, lacks greatly in resonance...

No, both are very good in projection, but not amazing. The ones I mentioned first have extraordinary projection and should be awarded.
