A moderate hit with "Never Close Our Eyes" could set up for a smash with "Cuckoo". RCA was smart this time.

I was actually a little worried for a NY second but I'm really liking what I'm hearing on most of Trespassing.
So many different decades/genres harkening to earlier times yet Lambert makes it sound fresh.
My faves so far (some are based on snippets) are "Shady" (I can see why Nile Rogers was excited about it! FUNKY!) and "Kickin' In" (DEF shades of Prince!) and "Trespassing" (shades of Queen/MJ) and "Cuckoo"...
"Naked Love" could grow on me...has a kind of disco-era "Cher" sound on the vocals.
"Pop That Lock" has a very "club-ready"sound. NCOE is a good song but not my fave.Several of the others are much better, imo.
Some newer snippets of more songs:

Actually, he has quite a few potential "hits" on this album. But whether they make the "Top 40" etc. or not doesn't matter to me.I HOPE they do but I'll enjoy the album and the concerts when they start, regardless! :tiphat:

Based on snippets I like Underneath, Chokehold, Broken English, and Cuckoo best. Never Close Our Eyes is good too, just bought it from itunes. Kickin In sounds exactly like a song I've heard before but I can't think of what it is.

A couple of months ago I didn't think I would like any of the songs, so I'm pleasantly surprised. Vocally a better album than FYE, so I expect several songs will make the studio list.
