That and Born to be Wild are my absolute least favorite performances from Adam lambert. I dont like him much in general, but yeah, he completely ruined these 2 songs. On a different note, he does a decent job with WLL and a surprisingly good job with mad world and feeling good, both which I really like. Seriously Timi, can you find a version of Change is gonna come which is inferior to lambert's from a song point of view ?

Yeah cause Born To Be Wild was SUCH a good song to begin with

P.S. Worst Lambo covers were Cryin' and One live (even if the E5 was amazing)

Fuck yeah, One and Cryin were terrible.

Also, Born to be wild is a catchy fun and feel good rocker. lambert ruined it completely, and it was no longer a fun rocker, but an un-listenable something.

Also, yeah, the singing is ok in change is gonna come. but he ruins it as far as a song goes.

Lambert simply does not have the voice for that kind of song, IMHO. It was always my least favorite AI studio recording of his.

As far as his new album... I thought the first half of the album was better than FYE, but pretty much all of the "power ballads" were real snoozers. I also feel that vocally it's every so slightly less impressive than FYE. However I think the singles he'll release will be much better.

"Naked Love" and "Shady" are killer.

But "Better Than I Know Myself", "Nirvana", "Outlaws Of Love"....zzzzzzz

What do you think about his live version of ACIGC? That was the one I was defending.

not to my liking. most of lambert isnt. I can admit that he is incredibly talented, but completely not my cup of tea. I wish he joined dream theater, that's where he belongs

Just heard Shady. Very cool.

One, apart from one bum note, is a flawless live performance. The E5 he hit was the cleanest I have ever heard, hands down.

You guys are tearing apart subjective aspects of a performance. His actual technical skill at handling all songs, except for BTBW which is very shrill, was spot on. Maybe not to your tastes, but spot on.

Those two are cool. I also enjoy "Trespassing" very much.

I agree.

If you were a stoner you would like Nirvana....

Not even as a performer, I mean specifically as a guy who can deliver notes and slide up and down scales with ease. His interpretation of a song and stylistic choices are what people commonly use to be like "yeah that was terrible" which is fine but if you're going to use it in a technical sense when ranking him as a singer you're missing the point of the lists. Plenty of vocalists aren't my cup of tea but I won't put them in last place just because I don't think they embody my particular envisioning of a rockstar.

no one;s judging him technically here though. I said all those performances were terrible, and they were. NOT technically, I dont care about that. As mentioned, Dream Theater are about as flawless and brilliant as a band gets technically, but that's all they have going for them.

Pretty much, as for the "power ballads" I really liked "Broken English" and "Underneath" was an amazing vocal. "Nirvana" > "BTIKM" > "OOL" > "Chokehold"

You should cover one of them. I watch your vids on YouTube all the time :surprised:

BTW I think it's cool that even the Lambo haters are into "Shady"

I'm sure the SAME could be said for YOU. :thumb:
PS: Question is, could you SING as well as him with a fist up your ass? :rimshot:
