"Nostalgia Ultra," his earlier release, isn't really worth listening to except for it helps you appreciate how far he has come as an artist in such a short period of time. I mean, it's got two songs that are basically just freestyle singing over karaoke tracks (he sings over "Electric Feels," like not even just a sample, basically the whole instrumental track, and he sings "Hotel California" with different lyrics. He also does a Coldplay cover that's a little too faithful to the original). But on the other hand, it has one of my favorite album skits of all time, which is this:

I don't know why but I just can't get into Frank Ocean. As of right now, he's an artist I respect but don't necessarily like. Oh well.

In other news, The Money Store by Death Grips has entered into my league of favorite albums ever. I was listening to it on the drive home from work today and realized I have every second memorized but I still enjoy it. I know I tend to like "rap for people who don't like rap" but The Money Store is just something else.

The new Nas album is okay but man I just can't enjoy it because I get this nagging feeling on every song that ten years from now this album is going to sound super dated. :\

I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind II is actually really damn solid. No R.A.P Music but definitely a tight album.

Also, R.A.P Music is the best hip hop album since Only Built For Cuban Linx II. I'm just not getting tired of it.

I have to hear the words "Hardcore G Shit, Homie I don't play around" at least once a day.
