so ive finally listened to R.A.P. music. dont know what i was waiting for. i just wasnt really listening to any rap or hip recently. been trying to dig more into electronic music and the 70's list had me kind of preoccupied. anyways, this shit it really good. it hits so hard. doesnt hold back on any songs. definitely gonna be high on my list. now to listen to death grips and new el-p.

I used to be such an anti-rap elitist in my junior high/high school years.
Thank God your tastes change as you get older.

Still cant get into the more 'hardcore' type of rap that most people my age listen to nowadays, but I still have an enormous love for the older stuff.

I really think the new El-P is great, pretty much as good as RAP Music, except it falls flat on its face on the second half. The first seven or so songs are amazing and then there is a very obvious drop in the quality of the beats and lyrics. Really disappointing, I'd be inclined to say its even better the his last effort if it was more consistent.

I definitely agree with that. I still think Fantastic Damage is his best.

He still talks about stuff that he probably listened to a long time ago, but I've noticed that he has actually changed with regards to hip hop.

probably more relevant in the soul thread, but i figured this would be better here

anyone remember brian mcknight?

one - make yr dream come true
two - just wanna be with youu
three - it's plain to see that you're the only one for me

well after a long long hiatus, he is back with one of the greatest music videos of all time and a song titled "let me show you how your pussy works". features brian starsailing a dildo into his gf in the video. just genius.

i love pop culture.
