a POS album is great news. also lupe fiasco has a new album out in september that hasn't been completely commandeered by his label this time. the two singles sound really good and old lupe. |

So what's your guys' verdict on Nas' new album? I think I'ma have to agree with Domo Genesis Quote: Last Great Album I Listened To It Was Written by Nas, which is my favorite album by him, even though everyone says Illmatic. The beat selection on his new one, Life Is Good, is too modern. He sounds way better on old-school fucking boom-bap beats. But lyrically? Nas is still that nigga. Case in point |

As I said before my problem with the new Nas is just the production because it sounds "modern" I guess but I feel like it's going to sound outdated in six months or so (if that makes any sense). |

Yeah, I agree with all that Nas stuff. The production doesn't really blows my hair back much in the first place though. |

Killer Mike's album from last year is very good indeed - imagine him spitting fire as usual, but over more classic sounding soul beats. One thing I'm realising is that although my very favourite rap albums/artists will probably usually be those big east coast names, you can't beat the sound of the big name Southern rappers. That southern drawl/accent, the way they emphasise things - it's just made for rap. |

Gray wrote: Outkast>Wu-Tang I would agree that the five OutKast album probably take the five Wu albums, but if you consider the 93-97 run and include solo albums (which are kinda Wu albums really) - well that's the best run in rap history. |
