so basically right he plays with a band, his guitarist is one of the best i've seen, and he plays all the riffs and the melodies in his songs, the guy's effects pad is almost as big as agata's (agata is the melt banana guitarist = one of the world's best). just lovely repetetive riffing and fucking around and of course there's an amazing saxophonist there for the fills, feels like a house music show being played by a jazz band, y'know? with the whole band environment they had room for improv, so you'd have these weird psych/drone segueways from one song into the next, and anyone who has felt the power of live dance music - nico knows how to DROP dat beat. holy shit man. so many people there last night, great vibes, lots of dancing and just pure fun. i don't think there's quite a music experience out there like jaar's atm, don't miss him if he comes around |
