It honestly almost makes me feel ashamed to be from the Pacific Northwest. When I saw the lineup the first words that came to mind were bland, pointless, and underwhelming. I think Adam Zacks, the Sasquatch founder, just realized that half the people only go to black out at the campground and don't care who's playing, and the other half are high schoolers who haven't yet realized that all those bands do multiple shows in and around Washington/Oregon every year. The festival I'm really looking forward to is the free show this spring in front of the library at my school. U of O always puts on a concert in the spring, and the guy who runs it is this friend of mine who is super ambitious and somehow landed A Trak, Yeasayer, RJD2, Donnis, and Baths. I'm pretty impressed, especially for a free show on a college campus. |

yeah, i know the northwest is bas-land, but i'm not about to travel all the way up there to see a wide of array of bas artists. At least put in more electronic artists up in there if you can't get good headliners. Bassnectar? Skrillex? lol man |

So, how do you think it's gonna turn out? I'll be pretty amazed if they pull out something on the same level as Dear Science. |

Dear Science is a very solid album and one of the best of 2008, but IMO Young Liars and Return to Cookie Mountain both eclipse it by quite a bit. I expect them to continue being great, in any case. |

Fuck all the tr00 ones out there. Dear Science is the best thing they've done. I love the extra clean poppy production and melody friendly songwriting of Dear Science. Return to Cookie Mountain was just a bit too abrasive at times for me. Too short? Maybe, but I prefer me the more accessible poppy stuff. Nothing on Dear Science touches Wolf Like Me though, which I think is a perfect song. |

i like their older stuff better, but dear science was still a whole of a lot better than most albums put out and I'm glad they're back again. |

Wouldn't Dear Science be a more tr00 choice than Cookie Mountain given that it's less well-received around these parts? Though Desperate Youth is probably the tr00est (because anyone who picks OK Calculator as their favorite is lying and thus untr00). |

i'd burn it on cd and listen to it while in the car driving, weed brownie points if you do it at night too. If you still don't like it though, then at least acknowledge the sublime opener, which is one of their best. Cut Copy never made a bad album in my eyes (this includes their fantastic fabriclive mix as well) |
