Australia has really been bringing the funk recently. Cut Copy is a great example. Lots of good modern disco from the country.

The Strokes seem to be permanently inept at recording/producing/mixing the vocal(s) bits in with the rest of the music. Just somewhere in the middle guys, somewhere in the fucking middle.
