Lots of the French media are saying there were too many bad French films in competition and that Jacques Audiard's Palme d'Or was completely undeserved. |

The jury explaining their decision: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUu62UlGOvw yeah compared to the most recent Palme D'or winners, Audiard seems kind of tame? I haven't seen 2008's The Class, but that's probably the last winner that reminded me of this win. Hope it's still a solid year for movies overall. |

Yeah I heard. Gus Van Sant brings it on himself tho, I can't think of a more inconsistent director than he atm. |
