I'm thinking SA has a greater advantage in popularity than MD does in acclaim.

LotR, as stated earlier, has influence points, plus solid acclaim and enormous popularity, so #1 feels right to me.

I don't think MD has an advantage in acclaim at all when compared to SA and I think it's much closer between TFotR and SA with MD as a clear third.

As I see it Chihiro wins acclaim, TFotR wins popularity, and influence is more or less a draw. I also don't think either of these wins is particularly huge. So, I could go either way with the top two.

As big a Potter-fan as I am, and though I didn't like Black Hawk Down, even I doubt if Philosopher's Stone has better credentials than Black Hawk. Yes, it was the first Potter movie and it was the biggest blockbuster of 2001, but it wasn't a critical favorite. Chris Columbus took zero creative choices when directing the movie, and followed the book almost one-on-one. Its special effects have also seriously dated compared to, say, LOTR. I think we should stick to the inclusion of only Prisoner of Azkaban and Deathly Hallows 2 on the year lists, since those are the clear highlights of the franchise.

Black Hawk Down was both a critical and commercial success. By placing it in perspective, we could say that it was as big a commercial hit as the first Potter movie, since it was never a question that Philosopher's Stone would be THE blockbuster of the year. It was based on one of the most popular books of all time and featured British acting royalty, whereas Black Hawk Down was based on a lesser known non-fiction book and featured only one major movie star (Ewan McGregor). Yes, director Ridley Scott came fresh off the huge success of Gladiator, and there are some relatively popular and well-known actors in supporting roles (Josh Hartnett, Tom Sizemore, Jason Isaacs, Tom Hardy [then unknown], Orlando Bloom, Sam Shepard, Eric Bana), but still.

Luuk, but regular people mostly love Philosopher's Stone. Not deviating much from the book is seen as a plus by many. And it's not like it's disliked among critics, with 81 on RT. metacritic numbers though, I will give you, only 64. I think Bruno's #18-20 works well enough.

A.I. is clearly the best Spielberg, arguably even the only truly good one.
