Echoes,
I don't know who's quote that was but odds are it doesn't carry much weight, so if you can give me your own argument that'd be great.

People here are blue in the face from asking him for his own arguments.

Really? You're not going to legitimize Echoes' attempt to delegitimize your list. I can't believe it.

I just want to clarify that this list is not an attempt to delegitimize George´s lists. It is just an alternative.

So Echoes, what are you going to do now that your savior George has declined to fight your battles for you? You seem to hold the belief that his opinion is the only one of the mods' that matters, as you blatantly sidestep everyone else's.

Just retitle this your favorite guitarists list and get it over with.

George can do whatever he wants with regards to this list. A few days ago I asked to delete this thread. I was more that ready to stop posting on this thread but as always, all of you keep posting. So I am not the one who is keeping alive this thread, all of you are.

The list is not close to be finish. I think that Cantrell and Frusciante are tie.

Maybe Cantrell could move up?

The first quote was from George. The second quote was from a magazine.

This is my opinion:

IMO Clapton was the first to use wah wah “to explore textures and make a song more intense” (as you said):

I think that Tales influenced Hendrix.

After that, I think Clapton established what will be the standard in the use of wah wah (a lot of players like Hammett plays this way):

People keep posting because you do and constantly try to keep making the list. If you want it deleted, stop posting.

Well now Echoes, why is Clapton at #2? I've been asking this question for days now, you always seem to run away or twist the argument into some random tangent involving Clapton.

First let’s agree that Clapton is more versatile than Hendrix.

IMO it could be a tie, however, the tiebreaker is Clapton’s blues guitar playing:

Why should I agree with a lie so your list will make sense? Hendrix is FAR more versatile than Clapton. You know it, I know it, fucking EVERYBODY knows it.

There is literally NO plausible way that Clapton could be tied, or go above, Hendrix on a greatest guitarists list.
