That seen was amazing. So glad we got it as I'd been hoping for them to cross swords. Btw reading recaps on the espisodes is always amusing to me especially how certain people seem to get really easily turned around by easy to understand geography. I've seen people complaining about not knowing where Roose Bolton is right now. Not only is it obviously the same set that was Harrenhal from last season (where we spent a good chunk of time) but they fucking went there at the beginning of this fucking season and he never left. I mean seriously people there is a reason they keep showing it on the map.

I'm loving that she's getting more scenes than she did in the books. The last two scenes may be a little fanservicey, but it's damn fine fanservice.

It's becoming more and more true.

I prefer the way the books handled the torture. Better left imagined than actually shown.

"Sorry about the sapphires." Jamie is such a boss.

That was an awesome scene. I think the only reason they're showing the torture is to characterize Ramsay Snow. I'm very glad they just implied the dick cutting and didn't actually show it.

It was great when he brought Theon back to the cross, but since then it hasn't meant anything, and apparently they are somehow going to milk this over four(ish) seasons.

My thoughts for theons plot line (book spoilers):

end this season with the explicit reveal that Ramsay is boltons bastard, right around the red wedding, and a scene implying Ramsay puts "theon" out of his misery. In season 4 don't have theon episodes for a while, and then introduce reek like halfway through as an almost unrecognizable theon.

Book SpoilerI imagine they will do something like that. So the ambiguity surrounding Theon's genital mutilation was finally put to rest after this episode, right? I know that Martin wrote it and it seemed like he was trying to spell it out for the readers. Book Spoiler

I just think they want to hold on to Alfie Allen in the show.

FYI that ep was directed by Michelle MacLaren, who's been responsible for several of the best - and best-looking - episodes of Breaking Bad ("4 Days Out", "One Minute", "Salud"). She's on next week's too.

Yeah unless this is building to something incredible (and maybe it is, judging by corrections' post of torture boy's last name? Godsdamnit, why do I even come in here) I wish they'd just fucking kill him already. Every season out of their 20-odd plot lines there's precisely one that just doesn't hold my attention in the slightest - last year it was Stannis, this year it's Theon in a runaway.

I didn't care for last night's episode. I thought they'd moved on from gratuitous nudity, as much as I liked looking at Rob's girl. And the first twenty minutes of the episode seemed to dwell on relationship discussion that could have been covered in the previous episode if they just cut out all those Theon scenes. I also don't see why it was necessary for Jaime to leave and return; his jump into the pit was enough proof of his compassion.
