It's fucking boring for the most part, since the only time they start racking up shots on target occurs after they already have a goal. Glad the commentators are getting on Spain's case about flopping and rolling all over the ground. Fabregas and Iniesta are playing quite well. Fab my player of the first half, so far. |

...yep, then they start flopping like fish. Ugh. I don't get how their play is boring though. I love watching them weave passes in and out of the defense and midfield probing around until they get Uruguay all turned around and find an open fabregas or someone making a run. I really admire that patience and not forcing attacks. It bothers me when teams try to force an attack when they could assess the situation, withdraw and look for a better opportunity. |

They haven't been boring today. I'll refer you to the 2010 World Cup if you want to see them play boring and almost negative. I stopped watching after Spain's first goal because I had to eat dinner. From what I saw, Uruguay were completely unable to string anything together. The best run of play was Cavani dropping into the midfield to try and bring the ball up the pitch. Hopefully they can turn things around in the second half. |

Ok I can understand seeing their 2010 World Cup play as somewhat dull. But since then I've enjoyed it so much more. "Xavi has more passes than Uruguay". Yep. |

That stat is actually not true, though, so im not sure where they got it from. Xavi has 70 passes and Uruguay have 95. They aren't boring today, but their brand of football is not something I would call the most attractive type of football in the world. I much prefer the German national team style, or bayern munich style. It adds the possession with more shots on target, and more chances created, instead of waiting for the perfect final through ball. |

Thirded. I haven't been watching this evenings game, but most of the Spain games I've seen in recent years have been fairly tedious. I was actually intending on rooting for them today, but I see they've left Mata on the bench so I have no real investment in them so far. I hope Brazil smash them. |

Uruguay need to restructure their midfield. Having two shots on goal when you have Suarez and Cavani up top is unacceptable. Two awesome free kick goals in one day. |

Eh, I'll never get tired of the way Spain play, but I do wish they were a bit more dynamic when going for goal. |

I wanted Germany to play Spain in last years Euro. I think they would have put the Spanish team through a much better test than the Italian team, no offence, Pink; I think they are quicker at winning back possession, and their attack is more fluid - Italy are harder to break down, and capitalize on the chances that they get. |

I think most hard working teams with good strength and speed have a better chance of beating Spain than the more tactical slower paced ones. |

None taken. Germany are probably better matched up with Spain tactically than we are. It's a shame that the squad was so exhausted for the final because we gave Spain a run for their money when we played them the first time. We could have actually knocked them out of the tournament had we finished our chances. |

In other words, Nigeria put 6 past Tahiti. I don't expect Spain to score too many, but I can't imagine what the likes of Suarez and Cavani are going to do with this team. |
