On that note, what is your review on Michael Bradley's year?

Bradley would make a fantastic bench player. He's very hardworking and dedicated, but is too limited as a player to merit a starting spot. I'd say he had a decent year overall.

This is how I feel about Clint Dempsey at spurs, too. I wish we could get a really talented American player beyond the keeper position. I love how hard guys like Bradley and Dempsey work, but we need some serious skill if we're ever going to compete internationally.

I'll bet that United miss out on the top 4 in the next 4-5 years, I can't actually see them battling for the top 8 any time soon - I hope so, though.

Arsenal are getting 20 mil extra a year for the tv deal
Going from 5.5mil to 30 mil a year for the emirates shirt sponsorship.
Going from 7 mil nike sponsorship to 30 million with Puma.

Arsenal are going to have healthy growth for a while, and are going to perform better than the years where they had to sell off players every year

That's if the owners are prepared to put any significant money towards buying new players. I hope they do, because it makes the title race that much more interesting.

They definitely will this season, and thats coming from probably one of the more pessimistic fans around. If we make the top four, we are getting Jovetic from Fiorentina; probably around 20mil, which would break our record. A defensive mid - Gonalons, Capoue- from either Lyon or Tolo around 12 mil.

The more outrageous fans think that we will get Fabregas back since there has been some disappointment from the Barca fans; I don't think we will, at least not this transfer period.

For the first year, I can see Arsenal spending 40mil+ without sacrificing any real big parts of their squad - a battered Sagna might be leaving us in the summer, which wouldn't be the end of the world.

I feel a little sorry for Mancini, barring his pretty dire record with Man City in Europe he was a pretty good manager.

i don't get this, twelve months ago almost till the day he managed the team that won the Premier league for the first time in 44 years, also won a charity shield , and the 2011, F.A cup final, they ran 2nd to manchester united in this years premier league, they lose to wigan in the F.A cup final so its "you're gone, you're shit" your record is dire... they couldn't emulate last years unprecedented success for the club, i mean come on where's loyalty and sticking by him, ferguson had very little success for the first four years at MAN U, i think its' a bit rough.

Yeah, in Europe is the important part. In the Premier League, his win rate is surpassed only my Mourinho, Ferguson and Ancelotti. In the Champions League his win rate is 25%, and something similar for the Europa League.

I like how Benitez keeps poking at Fergie for his European record. 2 in 25 years for the greatest manager of all does seem a tad weak. Nick's brought that up plenty of times in the past from what i recall. Mourinho's won 20 trophies in 10 years, and what he did with Porto and Inter Milan is still absolutely incredible, and as much as I dislike the guy, he really is the best in the world.

Here's hoping he can maintain that stellar record at Stamford Bridge next season :thumb:

I'd take Chelsea winning over ManU any day, they've won 13 of the last 20, that is just one too many for my liking. Plus, Chelsea have just about the most incredibly talented and fun to watch midfield in the world, and coupled with my soft spot for Torres, I really wouldn't mind. I would like to see them dumped out of UCL in the 1st round similar to this, cause I really don't like the team much. I of course would like Spurs to win, since I have decided on them starting this year as the team I shall support in the EPL (along with Liverpool)

You've gotta put proper context into this. Fergie's European record is right up there, Benitez can suck a fat one.
