The World Cup's seeding system makes absolutely no sense.

because its political, bones. The ExCon is a bunch of old farts who've never played, and are only interested in lining their pockets...it's semi-rigged from the start.

I wish nuts like Michel platini and Johan cruijff were about 15 years younger, so when 2022 rolls around they can go, "alright, fuck you fifa. We're going to hold a tournament that is a true reflection of the top 32 in the world - no limiting teams from Europe or South America, no making sure each federation gets a seeded team, no hosting the tournament in some shit hole that made a bunch of political promises, and then nations know they're showing up to a legit tournament".

May sound a little crazy, but uefa is damn near strong enough to do it.

The problem with getting rid of confederations and having a certain allotment for each to make a tournament of the "best" 32 teams would take forever just to get to the point where you could confidently say that they were the top 32 teams. There are just too many countries that could make claims to the 20-32 slots, where it would be a fiasco to try and do it under any other sort of system.

Im just saying instead of having qualifiers to see who are the top 13 teams of Europe, the European teams would need to do that, then also have even more qualifiers against African, Asian, South American, etc. And I already hate the amount of time we miss at the beginning of the season. Finally games back tomorrow.

FIFA is making such a huge pledge to spread peace and to say no to racism yet they choose to allow a country with a high amount racists and homophobes such as Russia to host the world cup. Weren't they also planning on having 2022 in Qatar? They were so excited about the $$$ that I don't even think it came to their minds that Qatar is anti-gay (which would pretty much be a slap in the face to every homosexual that would want to attend the tournament); alcohol isn't allowed in Qatar which is one of the main western traditions for watching sports; and the main part of all, it's 50 degrees Celsius over there. Health concern for the players is the FIRST thing you should look into before going all in on a particular location for the world cup. Those old farts are a bunch of idiots, I swear.

FIFA don't stand for anything except the mid-20th century, and their comittee members living the silvio berlusconi lifestyle.
It pains me to see a thing that so many people care about in the hands of such dinosaurs.
