Didn't see those 2 results coming! Watched the second half of the Everton game. Not sure there's a better ground for atmosphere than Goodison.

Barca are really really going for a downward spiral. One freaking messed up transfer of Neymar, along with Rossell's idiotic management, and look where the club's going.

Also, LOL City and Everton. Tony Pulis is a genius though, gets it done every time.

Gutted for Everton. Nobody but Arsenal fans want them in the Champs League again. But Pulis is doing a great job.

Oh and Bale.

?? I don't understand how you could not like a club such as Arsenal when compared to a Chelsea or Man City - I am honestly trying to say this from an objective standpoint.

What is it that Arsenal do that would make them hated much more than Chelsea or Man City and thus you don't want them in the Champion's league again?

It's not like we're United, where we just dominate for such a long time period and people are sick of us winning - we don't win! We just finish high enough! How can you hate a team that try and play attractive football, aren't spending massive amounts of money or have any seedy operations, and have a bit of history and sustainability when at a time there almost is none? I honestly find it a bit sad that Wenger has more years with our club than all the other managers in the prem combined. I guess I am a big softy for longevity.

My point was that Arsenal are the rivals to Everton for 4th and Everton offer a fresh qualifier for the Champs League (which many, many fans would like to see) as well as being a club that generally are quite well liked. The same point would apply if City or Chelsea were sitting in Arsenal's position in the league at the moment.

That was my point. Nothing more and nothing less.

EDIT: Forgie speaks for me of course but I was speaking for a wider community which I hope has been clarified above.

Yeah, but he said nobody wants to see them in the champions league. That is much larger than just him being a spurs fan, which I am well aware of at this point.

As Nick pointed out, the underdogs are usually the favourites. I recall most people wanted Tottenham in the Champions League back in 2012 rather than Chelsea.

See my previous post, Chem. And yes, I'm exaggerating for effect in saying that only Arsenal fans would rather Arsenal qualified for the Champs League than Everton.

I'm probably coming across like a bit of a dick which I apologise for, but you've got a little overly defensive here. I personally clearly don't care for Arsenal but it's the underdog thing, as FS is right to mention.

Well, I am not trying to be defensive, I am just trying to honestly know - because on Reddit, r/soccer, they have the most hate against them, and most of the times it almost makes zero sense. We play good football, we are usually in the top four or three if not winning the fair play award, and I don't know of many players that are dirty or cheap that are on Arsenal that I could see as a reason for the hate.

You didn't come across as a dick. But I do feel like a lot of people hate Arsenal for reasons that don't really make much sense.
