Because scousers are fucking insufferable with all their talk of history. As much as I've expressed my detest for the male models of Manchester City, I'd rather them win the league at this point than be subjected to Liverpudlian gloating. As for today's game: "Dean was originally appointed to referee the 2006 FA Cup final at the Millennium Stadium on 13 May 2006 but the Football Association later replaced him with Alan Wiley after concerns were raised about Dean's ability to be impartial towards Liverpool, who are based near his hometown in Wirral.[4]" Nice consistency there, FA, you useless bastards. |

I'm no Liverpool fan either and I agree, if you are not British you probably won't get an idea about how insufferable their fans can be, but they are the lesser of 4 evils atm out of the top 4. And it was a definite penalty, not sure why all he Chelsea fans have flooded the airwaves the biggest mistake the ref made all game was not sending Ramires off. |

Fuck Liverpool and fuck Gerrard. They may be the best team this year and deserve the title, but the hell am I being magnanimous about it. I thought it would be tough for a season to overtake 11-12 in the horrifying outcome stakes, but I think this year takes the cake. |

We've sort of been over this with Chem but with Arsenal....in a nutshell, you don't need to be a United/Everton fan to not want Liverpool to win the league. I do want them to win the league because it would just cap United's season |

That is not a clear penalty in the slightest. But that penalty decision isn't the sum total of the bad officiating in that game. Ramires was shoulder barged by Larsson preventing a clear goal scoring opportunity; Johnson kicked Dave in the ribs, a challenge reminiscent of the De Jong fly kick in the 2010 World Cup, and Johnson wasn't even booked; 2 clear handball appeals were turned down; and finally a perfectly good goal was disallowed because appatently Matic being tall is illegal. This is the second time we've been completely fucked over by shitty officiating. Now part of this problem rests on Chelsea, as lack of quality finishing leaves us open to being scuppered by the ref. That said we would be 5 points up if Foy, Dean et al could do their job with any sort of consistency. |

We had Kaboul sent off against you when it absolutely wasn't a red. All teams have their share of bad luck. Oh and also, didn't Liverpool have some pretty rotten decisions away to you and away to City? |

Oh and also, didn't Liverpool have some pretty rotten decisions away to you and away to City? No doubt. I was certainly with Liverpool when they were decrying the refereeing of the game at the Etihad. I completely understand the odd decision being wrong, but this game and the one at Aston Villa go well beyond that in the incompetence stakes. |

Bones wrote: So you dislike a team because of it's fans? In that case I'd probably hate a lot of teams. At least Liverpool's fans are decent enough to keep their mouths shut during the moment of silence for the Hillsborough Disaster victims. I wouldn't go down that route to defend Liverpool fans, not when they have sung song songs celebrating the murder of innocent juventus fans by Liverpool fans at heysel. And in that Gif it's quite clear Azpilicueta beings down the Sunderland player with his trailing left leg to me. |

Altidore had to have stepped left to even make contact. For once I agree with an Arsenal fan on r/soccer: copinglemon wrote: Altidore was trying to plant his left foot and whether by chance or by purpose he stepped on Dave's leg and fell. It's hard to figure out what his intentions were just by looking at it, but for me this is neither a penalty or a dive. A "coming together" as commentators like to say. I'll leave the assumptions about his intentions to more presumptuous folk.
