Dropping 80 odd million for Suarez whereas they could have done the same for Thiago Silva and that would have covered his transfer fee and his wages over 5 years.

This is in response to when they could have signed him 2 years ago. A 40 million transfer really wasn't much for a defender of his quality, nor was an 8 million per year contract.

With Suarez and Neymar, that's more than 150 million spent and they both will earn over 10 million a year in wages. While one of the greatest DMs in Mascherano is forced to play CB.

Yeah, it must really suck to be a Barcelona fan! I remember when Roma were a striker away from winning Serie A and we got the mighty Julio Baptista.

He's not as dynamic as RVP, maybe not quite as automatic as RVN, but he's an excellent target man...good header, 2 touch max then finish. He's not going to help sterling or whoever else bringing the ball up much, but again, he makes for an excellent target..just knows how to score to all areas of the frame when he's getting good service. Nah, he works well with anyone who can provide the service. I mean his bread and butter is finishing the play (master class), but he's a professional Dutch footballer; he can pass the ball and make the right plays, but he's a finisher. Get him good service, and you're fine. Only needs the one chance sort of player. RVP starts because he's more dynamic, more tricks in the sleeve...if depay had two more years experience, and strootman was healthy, klaas could very well have found himself starting.

I'm not sold on bony. Klaas should be the main pursuit.

A late blooming 30 year old in his peak, no real injury concerns, will net 20-25 goals...not cheap

yeah they got 2 legit Gks now. I guess they'll start with Bravo and ease Stegen in to La Liga to be the long term replacement for Valdez.

Rakitic was also a good buy, though whether he'll be an upgrade to the versatile Fabregas, only time will tell.

Barca will never buy defenders. Marc Bartra actually was decent last season, but he needs a leader besides him, which is the same for someone like Pique. I hear we're thinking about going for Vertonghen, who's one of my favorite players, so I'd definitely love that move. Plus, Vertonghen can literally play anywhere on the back line, so again, versatility.

I don't understand why you guys wouldnt want Vermalean. He's a surplus to requirements for Arsenal and seems like a good fit.
