Au contraire. Southampton have had a very successful season.

And it's far more fun making fun of Liverpool.

I think you underestimate how much people generally enjoy watching Liverpool embarrass themselves.

Implying people haven't made fun of Arsenal, United and particularly City. The latter have shit the bed big time. I was hoping United would miss out on the Champions League next season and disintegrate, but it looks like City are going that way instead, even if they finish 4th.

I can't see United disintegrating given their revenue. In a world with uneven distribution of EPL tv money United would probably be the biggest club in the world.

FFP does pose more of a challenge for city and Chelsea. If they feel away it would prevent them spending big to get back up there.

My thinking is that without European football for successive seasons, United's ability to recruit the top talent necessary to rebuild would take a massive blow, irrespective of their ability to spend big.

More so City than Chelsea. Chelsea have a fairly young squad and a wealth of youth talent they can either incorporate or, more likely, make a profit on and push those profits into big-name signings as well as a brand that's growing in the Asian market and they just signed a new sponsorship with Yokohama Rubber for £200 million, more than double what they were getting from Samsung. As a result, Chelsea can more than afford buy in the players necessary to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League. I believe Jose has ~£100 million to spend during the summer, which should be more than enough to strengthen ready to retain the title next season. Furthermore, even were this not the case, London is a much more attractive proposition for foreign players than Manchester.

City, by comparison, have an ageing squad that needs to be rebuilt within the next couple of seasons to stand a good chance of maintaining their position in the top 4. Even with the backing of Mansour, they might not have enough to by the replacements necessary. If, in the unlikely event they miss out on Champions League Football, that would be another huge blow to their ability to attract the kind of talent to keep City a top Premier League club.

Wow. I don't think I've felt so negatively about a manager, and that includes AVB and the fat Spanish waiter.

We had Moyes last year and I never felt remotely this kind of vitriol

Don't you fucking lie. Every die hard United fan I can think of did. I'm sure even SAF felt this way about him.

He was certainly out of his depth and deserved to go but I most certainly did not post huge blocks of text calling him a cunt or a fuckface
