this has been a great days play. australia have been absolutely deplorable in the field, and the indians have made them pay. great aggressive batting

Australia didn't bowl too badly either. They weren't as poor as India with the ball/plans but they were probably worse in the field. Lyon's drop was inexplicable. Could have been a comprehensive innings lead had they held onto any one of those chances when you consider that India's tail starts at about 5. From Rahane on they're just walking wickets. Rahul must have played the worst debut innings in history and Dhoni can't fill the team with any confidence when he bats like he does. It goes to show how impressive their top order has been this series. I didn't think they'd put on as many quality partnerships as they have - definitely didn't think there would this many Indian centuries. All for nothing, of course.

dhoni is ultra popular in india and has multiple endorsements, he's worth 10's of millions per year, i suppose hes cashed up now and doesnt care? it looked like he didnt care this tour anyway... kholi will relish the captains role now...

Such an unbelievable knock. 15 wickets fell on day 1 and he just powered on. I saw his first 100, didn't catch the second but it must have been something special with the wickets falling around him. I think if he scored about 15 more runs his average would have hit 59. Special player, one of my favourites.
