I'm mildly embarassed we're getting rolled over by an attack that includes someone who looks like he puts away several fried breakfasts a day but I suppose I should be used to that after Merv Hughes doing a number on us on a regular basis.

Lol, he doesnt look the fittest but then again jimmy anderson looks like he could do with a good feed.

you show me a cricketer climbing up a wall, twice his hgt, do a 360, land on his feet, with the ball still in his possession and i will be suitable impressed. a diving catch is par for the course in baseball AND DOES cricket club have baseball fielding coaches?... i bet they do.

i can do a diving catch. my dad can do a diving catch. i was mildly impressed with his presence of mind to complete the back toss to the stumps while still sliding, but i still think that he was a bit lucky with his aim.

hey, who knew I would ever watch cricket so intently? no one is more gobsmacked than hub.

I don't get your siding with Australia, Anpass. Don't you usually go for the plucky underdog (Arsenal)?

Pfft. You exaggerate. And so not true, I absolutely adore the gunners and like you, ke, ke, ke.

Georgi >> I lived in Canberra for one year when I was a teenager. Was in fact a fan of Aussie rules when I lived there. Hated cricket. Liked the beer. Loved the meat pies. Aussie men, also very nice

I have never lived in the UK. I shall let the underdog slur pass.

I know the words to Australia Fair, do you? I have sheared a sheep, well part of a sheep. Docked tails and slaughtered a ram. Drove around the outback at speed watching men try to shoot boar from the back of ute. Why, I don't know. Am a highly skilled lamington maker and am adequate pavlova maker. Have climbed uluru. Have watched picnic at hanging rock many times. And campaigned vigorously against Fraser. Any and all of these things attached me forever more to the land down under.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fJxtjI1Cgo and i own this LP, in vinyl no less.

I don't remember your taking an interest in the travails of the Australian cricket team before this series with England, nor really before Australia started having success in this match. I'm sure you have a soft spot for Australia, but I'd wager it's at least balanced by your dislike of a multitude of things English.
