So how many sets do people think Nadal will lose in the French Open this year?

I'm going to say 2.

and no, I do not think Rafa's going to lose just 2 sets this year at the French. I also have to see him play the clay masters before making an educated assumption.

Barca are easy to rule against, they're shit defensively, and I dread a day Messi doesn't play for them.

If Spurs lose and I have missed seeing the game live I very, very rarely bother to watch the highlights never mind the whole thing.

Interesting. I find myself often returning to highlights of his losses, e.g. against Soderling at the French or Rosol at Wimbledon. Never fails to cheer me up.

You other tennis nerds should check out this youtube channel called Tennis Speed. Mostly there're videos of top players hitting strokes in super slow motion. Interesting stuff:

Stop dreading and just enjoy being excited as a fan! It's much more fun. As a United fan, I could have sat before the Madrid tie dreading what might have happened, but I was excited and was properly up for it! And the disappointment after we lost - well that's part and parcel of being a fan, and you take that in your stride just the same. For example, I can't believe you didn't even watch the Milan second leg!

well this is my way of doing it. I have plenty of fun as it is and like it this way. I watched the entire match afterwards, as I knew I would. I'd have watched it if we had lost too. 'tis how I am. I prefer low highs and high lows to the other way round. It's how i've lived my life, and will.

But definitely watch football matches to assess where we went wrong, how bad we played, etc etc. NEVER watch a match which Rafa lost. I know other players have a lot bigger swings, but I don't understand theirs either. I guess they prepare really early?

Pretty much everything. His strokes are offensive to the eye. His grunting is offensive to the ear. He's always scowling across the net, making excuses, complaining to the umpire about something or other. I think it all started because I fell in love with Federer so quickly when I got into tennis and it just flowed naturally into hating Nadal, but now I simply enjoy rooting against him. He's really the only player I actively dislike on tour. I used to hate Murray too (now don't get me started on his whining), but he won me over a bit when he fell just short of the mark so much and when he hooked up with Lendl and got more aggressive.
