I wonder if Djokovic can have a better win-loss this year than Mac in '84. |

Well, Djokovic broke the record for most Masters events won in a single season (5, toppling Nadal and Federer at 4 - quite a pair of names to be ahead) and is well on his way to having one of the greatest seasons ever. |

Men's tennis is probably just about as good as it's ever been right now, which makes it an even better achievement. Federer is just a little past his peak, but still incredibly good, Nadal is still at his best, Murray is at his best, Del Potro, Tsonga etc. If Djokovic wins the US Open it'll be one of the greatest ever seasons. Even if he doesn't I think it's already good enough to be considered great. Nice that an Aussie in Tomic is poised to join these guys in the next year or two! (hopefully) |

Murray wins Cincinatti, albeit with Djokovic retiring. You'd think with the iffy form shown by Federer and Nadal, that he has a very good shot at reaching the final in New York. |

I think I've got to the stage where after Nadal I'd most like Murray to win the US Open. |

Hoping Dimitrov can pull off an upset against Monfils tonight. |

What number is Dimitrov at in the rankings now, Georgi? |

I think he's on the cusp of breaking into the top 50 (52 at the moment) so he's doing very well indeed. |

Players who make awful rackets (!) when playing a shot need to start being punished to discourage the practice. |

Great effort, Heather Watson, I suppose well played Sharapova in the end. |

beside Nadal obviously, rooting for Fish and Murray ... this may be Murray's best chance to win a grand slam .... |

Definitely. Nadal doesn't seem to have the form, Federer's form is also not great and he has the toughest draw of the top 4 by far, and Djokovic has his shoulder problem. If Djokovic' shoulder is okay then I think it's his tournament again, but if he's not 100% I think Murray will win - or at least has his best chance to win he's likely to get. Maybe someone like Tsonga or Fish is a big chance. |
