At 100% I'd say so, but he can't maintain it as long anymore. He'll go from like 100% to 50% from set to set whereas someone like Nadal never dips below 70.

In the past Federer could play at 80% and beat everyone. Now against the others in the top 4 he really has to be at or very near his best for an entire match (or at least for 3 sets).

Amazing that two years running, Fed spurns two match points on his own serve. You'd have to fancy Djokovic from here.

Nah last year the match points were on Djoker's serve.

But yeah he choked that service game I think. Started playing way too fast between points. Djokovic also went all out on the return on the first match point. Massive, massive play. Has turned the match. It was like all the energy changed on that point.

Ah right, I wasn't sure, but the commentators on my stream seemed to suggest it was on Fed's.

Fed's 5th set record really is poor for his incredibly high standards.

Djokovic has stepped up massively these last couple of games. Hasn't missed anything and is just swinging at everything.

Should win now. Doubt there is another twist, but you never know.

And Djokovic shows what to do when you have match points. Great win for him. Roger lost it mentally I think...hard to believe he let that 5-3 40-15 lead go.

Djokovic should win the tournament now really. Though I'd quite like to see Murray go through and win his first slam.

time to retire. what's the point in playing if you can't win another major?

God, so many fucking unforced errors and missed first serves from Roger at the end. So disappointing to watch him seemingly fall apart like that. Gutted.

Definitely gonna be pulling be Novak over whoever he faces in the final.

I dont see either Murray or nadal beating Djoker. However, Id say Murray has a better chance of doing it , simply cause I think this year at least, from nadal's body language at interviews ive seen, he doesnt think he can beat Djoker

i don't think he should. it just feels like he's stringing himself and his fans along. it's the 3rd major in a row he's blown a match he should have won. I guess i shouldn't say he can't win another major, but i don't think he can win it on his own...i don't think he can beat the best all the way to a major final and win.

as a big fan of federer, i'd love to see his majors record stand. even if nadal were to gain the majors record, i don't think nadal can match fed's entire body of work...slanted as my opinions on federer may be, it's true. in a bit of good news, i think today shows us that if djokovic isn't already, really soon he'll be nadal's nadal.

oops meant to quote georgi.

i know what you mean paulie. i'm selfish man...i'd rather see him retire than to feel so damn deflated after one of his matches.
