I wasn't so worried when he had a bad summer league because it was summer league, but man Zubac is not an NBA player. He is somehow both soft and stiff, slow physically and in processing things.

I think he has some potential as a passer, but he's not close to a rotation player at the moment. I did like him at Mega, but it might be those jerseys.

I didn't think he was good in Summer League, but he was fortunately compared to Ante Zizic in mind and he wasn't that bad.

It's almost as if 3-point shooting is noisy and looking at one-month or two-month samples is a silly thing to do.

Are you guys going to re-sign Randle?

I hope so. He's comfortably been the team's best player, and despite the glaring issues/limitations that remain in his game, his progression and refinement have been awesome to watch. You always hear about the Mavericks being a team that's really interested in him so idk. I'd be fine with an 18ish million a year commitment.

He and Lopez have worked really well on the floor together. I think my ideal offseason that is still somewhat realistic involves bringing Randle and Lopez back with enough room to still offer George the max.

Lonzo/PG13/BI/Randle/Lopez/Kuzma/Hart is a solid 7, tho I think this team would still need their young guys to take big steps plus add another half-court initiator and some shooting to be a playoff team. Boy would it be a whole hell of a lot of fun to watch tho. I haven't watched a ton of him but Shamet seems like he'd be a great fit. Gotta find Thomas Bryant some minutes as well to see what they really have.

What sort of contract do you anticipate for Lopez? There are quite a few centers available this offseason: Cousins, Jordan, Capela, Nurkic, Noel, Monroe, Kanter (maybe), Dedman. With rookies, you add Ayton, JJJ, Carter, Bagley, Bamba, Robert Williams, Mitchell Robinson.

Not sure, maybe 8-12mil, mle range, which I would be fine with. He started out the year so poorly on offense, really that could apply to the whole team. But his improved play (and KCP's, and Randle's, and Ingram's) has been a reason why the team has been .500ish since the start of 2018 and a whole world away from the 11-27 or whatever start.

Out of all the guys available and realistic, Brook and Dedmon interest me the most. I think if the Lakers bring back Randle, the ideal center to pair with him is a guy who can stretch the floor and protect the rim, and Brook and Dedmon do a little bit of both. I trust Brook's shooting more than Dedmon's, but Dedmon is probs a bit better defender.

He looked good for a guy who hasn't played a meaningful game in over a year (I think we can discount his early season). His jumper is a bit slow and he drove right into shot blockers too much, but he still has the handle, the quickness, and the athleticism. I think he'll get better. I'm pretty excited.

I only saw a drive that (I think) Mike Schmitz tweeted, size+speed+speed change+body control looked fire tho.

Looooong way to go butttt. Granted my prediction was based a lot on embiid becoming prime shaq and not sitting out back to backs. Turns out he might not even be the best player on his team!

4 months later and they need to go 7-2 in their remaining 9 games. They've already won me some nice pocket change tho (: Embiid isn't prime Shaq but he's been great on both ends, and Simmons is ROY imo. I seem to remember when the season over/unders came out and it was between 39-42 for this team, there was a pretty vocal subset of the media riding the under. I suppose you could say the same for the over too, I guess being optimistic about Embiid's health resonates with me more as opposed to almost building in season/career altering injuries. Betting on shit like that brings bad juju.

What happens when Fultz finds his shot again and we see some Embiid-Saric-Covington-Fultz-Simmons lineups? In awe of the size of these lads, absolute 5-man unit. Also ever since McConnell opened my eyes totally tying up DLo last year I've been a fan. He's the perfect backup PG.

538 projects them at 50 right now. I have trouble imagining that, so I'm going to predict they end up with 49.

The initial O/U was 42. I think I was on the under for that one. 39 was more reasonable to me, which is what it finally settled at.

Btw, TJ has been slumping bad lately. I want him to turn it around for the playoffs. I wouldn't mind if Fultz suddenly starts tearing it up and takes his minutes, though.
