Thank God the Preds won that one. It's some consolation, considering they will now be on the receiving end of one of the most replayed highlights in recent memory.

Legwand did literally everything you can do wrong. Lose the puck, lose the stick, get beaten twice, prevent a check.

Wow. Hope you don't need to use Luango the rest of the playoffs.

Well, he was brilliant two years ago against St. Louis and was very good last year against LA. We'll see.

Well that was a bizarre third period. Not sure why Chicago played rope-a-dope after Luango came in but I think they should have tried a little harder to shell him early.

Bickell with a complete blindside hit. Where is the call on that?

It's overtime is where that is. Honestly that wasn't a blindside but it was a charge because he left his feet. I suppose the Hawks should be thanking Torres for waking them up. My prediction is still alive.

Edit:

And congrats to the Predators that franchise deserves it. And they knocked out the fucking ducks.

Yeah! Go Preds.

I'm waiting for a replay of the hit to come up on Youtube, but I'm pretty sure it was a blindside hit to the head. Don't recall if he jumped.

Definitely jumped but I'm pretty sure the defender was looking at him and I think he hit shoulder to shoulder and then road up into the head (because he was jumping).

No matter how you slice it, it's a penalty. A blatant one, too.

But one they basically never call in OT because the only penalties they call are ones that cause serious injury or seriously interfere with a scoring opportunity.

So the rules that are put in place for player safety go out the window because it's overtime? That's a great message to be sent.

Not saying it's good but it's how they've always played the game. And being a charge it is a much more borderline dangerous play than a blindside hit. Had your d-man not been so tough it probably would have been called. That was not as bad as the Torres hit though because the guy had more time to see and Bickell kept his arms flat and pinned to his side. And the Torres hit was only a minor and was in the second period.
