oh man

i'm started to get a little weirded out by the penn state campus. i'm waiting for them to start holding white nights. i don't get whats so difficult about understanding that paterno did something so wrong that he couldn't possibly continue to call the shots about his retirement and legacy and had to be fired.

Maybe i'm missing something, but the guy taking over for Paterno apparently witnessed and knew about the dude sexually assaulting the boys and not doing anything, yet hes still on the staff and gets promoted? I'm probably missing something.

The guy taking over didn't. It's the Wide Receivers coach who saw it. He's now on administrative leave but if anything his culpability is greater than Paterno's because he actually saw the rape happening.

I was worried about this mizzou game paulie, and now that our top three runningbacks, leading receiver, and best linebacker are out I don't have a lot of hope.

Edit: and with the refs awarding free sets of downs for textbook tackles and missing a blatant hold on a long touchdow run on consecutive plays....

edit: you've got to be kidding me. down to the fifth string runningback who's a friggin walk-on! no leading receiver. true freshman quarterback playing like a true freshman quarterback does on the road without his 4 biggest weapons. leading tackler broke his hand. refs said hello, here is a free touchdown. and it's still only 17-5? now mizzou has scoreboard leaving the big 12 and it's totally underserved. i would've loved to see a game with at least a semi-healthy texas team and without that ridiculous freebie 1st half touchdown. i really doubt the score would have been 17-5.....
