They needed to adjust tactics. Why bring a player like Costa and leave him isolated with an indirect style of play? Why bring Casillas?

What a laughable spectacle Spain have been. I thought the way they tried to run up the score in the Euro 2012 final was pretty tasteless.

Karma. They did worse than Lippi II.

I remember you going on about this in 2012. I think it was fair game. Everyone wants to see more goals.

No one told Spain that in 2010

Heh heh heh.

They perform very good in their club, well except Torres...but extremely poor in national team. What needed here is to change coach, training methods, tactics more than focus on players.

Why would their enourmously successful tactics need to change?

tiki taka in it's 2008-2012 incarnation has been completely figured out, playing that style puts teams far behind the times. klopp's bvb, heyncke's munich, ancelotti's madrid all play 4-3-3's, but the difference is that the ball is out of the midfield and worked around the box at a much, much quicker pace - these sides are (were, in the case of heyncke's bayern) much less concerned about possession, and more focused on maximizing attempts on goal as quickly as possible. that's where the game is at now.

but spain needs to address personnel issues as well.

The cross was beautifully placed and a nutmeg too, and the touch before that to set it up was fantastic. Go Rooney.
