had this been done about ~6 months ago, i would've said the same (since i didn't get B.O.B. then and had grown up with Ms. Jackson). i think i overplayed it waaay too much in that time period tho (with good reason, it's an amazing song), and so all the emotional/nostalgic impact it could possibly have on me has been weakened so much that now i just skip it whenever it comes on shuffle, coz it's become somewhat of a chore to listen to and i want it to be good again.

tl;dr, i just started 'getting' b.o.b. and i have massively overplayed ms. jackson

Cam'ron's Purple Haze is definitely getting a good position of my list. It's a little overlong, but the best stuff on it is absolute gold.

Would Blue Lines qualify as hip hop for listing purposes? I think it would, just want to doublecheck.

I believe this should be required listening for the modern rap fan. "My fella said you been coppin a lot, latest caper, propellers on top of the drop, but fuck it, whoever thought I would rock at the Roc, top a top on top of the top"
