I'm on my way to delve into Nick Thorburn's career, I find his music interesting. It's been awhile since I've listened to Hair and anything Islands. His Reefer project was a nice breezy sidestep I thought, tho a bit forgettable.

I've got my list down to 80 entries, which at this point I consider progress. That gives me basically 2 1/2 months to re-listen to all the albums + have a little time to listen to some albums I haven't heard yet.

By the name, I assume it's some minimal yet delightful German electronic, the type which the word sublime was invented for?

Actually far from minimal, it's heavily layered. Almost shoegaze-like but translated into electronic.

boards of canada-esque. i love that album. Far Away Trains Passing by is also a gem. album from this year is kinda bad though.

I'm not really sure how many people are going to include Beast Moans by Swan Lake but it is an album that has Dan Bejar + Casey Mercer + Spencer Krug so if you haven't heard it yet, do so!

Damn, thank you for this rec. I'm only one track in, but it is indeed sublime. Very beautiful music, and the shoegaze description is quite apt.

Also, thanks to pnoom for those classical recs way back.

Does anyone have any awesome jazz from the 00s? I've heard the stuff by Keith Jarett, Cuong Vu, and Supersilent (if you want to count that), but I'm not sure I've heard much else and it's a little difficult to wade through when you have no idea who the significant artists are anymore.
