Those bands (I'd also mention Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold) can be pretty fun, as long as you're not hoping to take them totally seriously, nor dig past the catchier numbers of their discography. Metalcore should in theory have potential as a sort of amalgamation and condensation of extreme and melodic metal styles, compressed and stripped down to a totally accessible format... And it can work in small doses. However I wouldn't seek out an entire album, as overall the music suffers from the dogged seriousness of the bands. You get the impression they really do think they're the ultimate in extreme music.

"Scream Aim Fire" (BfmV) and "Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr" (Trivium) are pretty fun scream-along/air guitar/air drum numbers. In my eyes, the genre is totally dependent on having catchy hooks, and those songs do.

I guess if you are looking for an album's worth of (what I would consider to be) enjoyable metalcore I'd go with Darkest Hour's "Deliver Us" or All That Remain's "Fall of Ideals". All That Remains aren't really that a great of a band, but they fill the niche that you seem to be describing. I actually legitimately think at least Deliver Us is a good album, though. Definitely not very creative or groundbreaking, but I'd say they do metalcore better than anybody else I've heard.

For a long time I've considered Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock n Roll" to be my least favorite song. But I'm beginning to wonder if Billy Joel's "Piano Man" should have the top spot. It's undoubtedly in my bottom two. Number one though? tough call.
