When I spoke to Guthrie about this last year, he said he wanted to take a few months off to focus completely on writing and recording new music. His schedule doesn't allow this, though, but he hopes to get something done as soon as he can.

I do agree that a live album would be most welcome. I have full GG concert recordings with good audio, and the guy is really one of the best live guitarists around today. I've also seen him in action, and I gotta stress that if anyone here has a chance to see him live, don't miss it! It's so worth it if you're fond of great guitar playing, the guy just breathes guitar genius.

I absolutely love it when radio stations play songs you'd never expect to hear. I listen to a fairly niche radio station but nonetheless one that locally has a solid share of the audience. The other day at work this minor Peter Green song came on - loved it!

Yeah, he's a pretty busy session musician in addition to everything else he does. I was surprised to see him at Glastonbury this year, playing guitar on a Dizzee Rascal cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Well, actually, on Caravanserai, his playing had improved so much that it's hard to tell who's playing what. Like, I hear that the majority of the awesomeness that is "Song of the Wind" is played by Schon.

As far as I know, Santana plays the intro and the outro and the rest is played by Neil...

I love that P. Green song. It's on my fav Green lp entitled BLUE GUITAR. I even have 2 vinyls and 1 is unopend and a cd that I played umpteen times. That's how much I loved this record.

Other classics on the lp: Last Train to San Antone, Slabo Day, Apostle, Loser Two Times,
A Fool No More, etc.;;;;;; all quintessential Greeny in his prime of the late '70s during his solo career
The whole lp is a masterpiece. 1/2 the songs come from the IN THE SKIES lp.

Must be something in the air. Greenie's birthday is Oct 29th so it's not that but yesterday I heard 'Rattlesnake Shake' by Fleetwood Mac and less than an hour later 'Heart of Glass',
Ronnie Earl's dedication to Mr Green. Good stuff.

that Heart of Glass cover by Ronnie Earl is nice. Never heard that one.

I have a tribute double cd to Greeny called Rattlesnake Guitar. Very good by a lot of blues allstars honoring Green doin' covers of his compositions like:----Looking For Somebody (Snowy White), BMW ( Larry McCray),The Supernatural (Clas Yngstrom), etc etc...... around 30 cuts on this baby

Do you have this one?
