For me it's Let it Bleed.

Stones are always better with video footage as well and pretty much everything 72>69 live.

I don't get it, either. Even if all its best stuff was boiled down to one album, Let it Bleed would still kick the shit out of it. Best song on it is "Happy", imo.

Great version, despite Keith hitting the wrong notes in the beginning...
Think I still prefer the Ya-Ya's version though, by a hair.

Damn Jagger was such a beast. Only Elvis, James Brown and Tina Turner can possibly top him as a performer.

Exile just has an intoxicating mood and feel to it that's hard to quantify. I love it dearly.

I agree. It took me a while to understand the hype but now it's my favourite Stones album quite comfortably.

Interesting, though this newspaper's idea of an overgrown garden differs wildly from mine.

Beast, if you personally don't find it brilliant, than you don't have to call it brilliant just because many other people think it is.

Mick Taylor plays a lot of excellent bass guitar on Exile.

Yeah, it's the mood of Exile that makes it work. It's also one of the most consistent albums of that length, imo. I feel like they took Sticky Fingers and stretched it out to a longer album without it dragging at any point.

I would have thought that Ventilator Blues or Rocks Off were your favorites.
